Jersey Cash 5 winning ticket worth $279,704 sold in Sussex County

SUSSEX BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – Two lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $559,408 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Thursday, July 27 drawing and one of the tickets was sold in Sussex County.

Each ticket is worth $279,704. The winning numbers were: 02, 09, 18, 34 and 42 and the XTRA number was: 02.

Those tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Ocean County: Shop Rite, 260 N. County Line Rd., Jackson.
  • Sussex County: Acme #1787, 455 Route 23 N., Sussex.

Executive Director Carole Hedinger said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Shop Rite and Acme #1787. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”

There were 564,929 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 92 ticketholders won $546 each and 10 others won $1,092 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 3,313 ticketholders won $16 each and 461 others won $32 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly, 5,729 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase, Hedinger said.
