Morris County man claims psychic predicted hitting jackpot

CHESTER, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man who won the lottery twice in six months and met his future wife says it was all predicted by a psychic.

David Thomson of Chester, NJ is a frequent Jersey Cash 5 player. He selects his own numbers and seems to be quite lucky doing so.

In October 2016, Thompson saw a local psychic card reader and had his fortune predicted. “I see a lot of money in your near future, and I see love coming in your near future as well,” foretold the reader. Just a few months later, Thompson was the happy winner of the December 14, 2016, Jersey Cash 5 jackpot of $160,485.

Thompson, happy his fortune came true, decided to share some of the wealth with those closest to him.

In the spirit of the holiday season, he gave out $1,000 checks to 18 of his close friends and family – even before he received his Lottery check. When his friends asked why he was so generous, he pulled out his phone and showed them the winning ticket. “I never felt better in my life – I saw what it was like to give, better than to receive.”

Two weeks later, Thompson continued to see the accuracy of the psychic’s vision as he met his wife-to-be, Supreeya, at a party on December 30 and he two wed on June 3.

Thompson’s luck continued when on June 20, he realized that significantly more of the predicted, “a lot of money” in his future, was still unfolding. He won the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot once more – this time for $984,158. He purchased the lucky ticket at the In & Out Deli on Route 46 & Howard Boulevard, Ledgewood, just one day after their wedding.

Yes, anything really can happen in Jersey.
