UPDATE: Victims identified in deadly White Twp shooting

WHITE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) – New Jersey State Police are still investigating a shooting at an Easter Seals group home in White Twp. that left one man dead and one in critical condition.

At 6:57 a.m. on Tuesday, troopers responded to 35 Buttzville Road for the report of a medical emergency and upon arrival at the residence, troopers discovered Randolph Meisten, 67, of Oxford, unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound.

Troopers searched the house for additional victims or a possible suspect, and that’s when they discovered Peter Ross, 57, of Oxford, unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound.

Ross was pronounced dead at the scene and Meisten was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

The case remains under investigation and detectives are working with the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

“We are not searching for suspects at this time,” state police said.
