Mount Olive Twp. police looking for burglary suspect (VIDEO)

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Police are looking for a suspect who they say allegedly committed a burglary to a residence on Route 206, located in the Flanders section of the township, on Tuesday morning.

According to police, surveillance footage showed the suspect breaking the rear door at around 9:30 a.m., entering the home and leaving through the front door with the victim’s property.

The suspect was also recorded putting on “red”, possibly latex gloves, prior to entry, police said.

The male kicked the rear door and entered the residence, removing multiple items from the master bedroom. Items taken included jewelry, silver coins and silver bars, a Russian-made night vision scope/rangefinder and handgun ammunition in a fire safe, police said.

Police said to remember to be diligent by locking your homes, setting alarms and reporting any unusual people or activity in your neighborhoods.
