MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – New Jersey American Water has started this week a water main installation project along Route 57 in Mansfield Township.
Crews are installing 1.2 miles of 12-inch ductile iron water main on Route 57 from the entrance of the Meadows at Mansfield to about the Mansfield Township/Washington Township line.
The developer-funded project will extend service to the Meadows at Mansfield. It also supports the New Jersey American Water Company’s commitment to provide customers with safe, reliable water service as it also serves to reinforce their existing Anderson area water system.
The work was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, weather permitting, and will take approximately two months to complete.
Works hours will be from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday as required by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. There will be no work outside those hours unless required to maintain project schedule. The final restoration would be completed approximately 90 days after the project is completed.
Anyone that has questions can contact New Jersey American Water Monday-Friday between 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at 1-800-272-1325.
