Independence Advises Residents to Boil Water

INDEPENDENCE — With more than 2,000 of Independence  residents out of water, the Independence MUA/Highlands System put a Boil Water Advisory into effect late Wednesday afternoon.

Mayor Bob Giordano also urged residents to conserve water as the restoration is taking place.

According to The Express-Times the advisory is precautionary.

The township will hold a spaghetti dinner for residents at 5PM Thursday, free of charge for residents. The township will also move all its elections operations to the firehouse on Cemetery Road.
