
1 airlifted, another injured in Sussex County crash
GREEN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – One person was airlifted and another was injured Wednesday evening after a crash in Sussex County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Lawrence Peele.
The crash occurred at 6:00 p.m. on Stuyvesant Road in Green Township, Peele said.
A preliminary police investigation revealed that in the area of Pub 517 on Stuyvesant Road, a Ford F-350 pickup struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Peele said.
The driver of the Grand Cherokee was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center with a complaint of chest pain, and the driver of the F-350 was flown to Morristown Medical Center with serious injuries to his lower extremities, Peele said.
Their names were not released and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
