1 car stolen, 1 burglarized in Washington Township, Morris County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – One car was stolen and another was burglarized in Washington Township, according to police.

On Wednesday, January 26, at around 7:00 a.m., police responded to a residence on Pickle Road for a theft of a backpack, which contained a Chromebook and a wallet, from an unlocked motor vehicle that was parked outside the residence, police said.

Then at around 9:00 a.m., police investigated a stolen 2021 Range Rover on Jordan Court where the owner advised police that the keys were left inside the vehicle overnight. The Range Rover was later located in Newark, police said.

Police contacted residents in the area that have surveillance cameras and there was no footage captured of the suspects and/or suspect’s vehicle(s) in the neighborhood.

Police advise residents to lock their vehicles at all times, remove all valuables and key fobs from the interior of all vehicles.
