1 flown to hospital after car hits pole in Sussex County

MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – One person was flown to the hospital Monday afternoon after a vehicle struck a pole in Sussex County, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota.

The crash happened at around 3:27 p.m. in the area of 331 River Road in Montague Township, Slota said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Toyota Camry was traveling on River Road when the vehicle exited the roadway and struck a pole, Slota said.

One occupant was flown to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Slota said.

No further information was available.
