1 flown to hospital after industrial accident in Hunterdon County

EAST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – One person was flown to a hospital after an industrial accident Tuesday morning in Hunterdon County, according to a post on the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad’s Facebook page.

The Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad responded at 9:17 a.m. to Toad Lane for an industrial accident in East Amwell Township. The initial report was for a person pinned under a machine, the post said.

While units were still responding, a report from the scene advised that the person was no longer trapped, authorities said.

Due to the patient’s injuries, a medevac helicopter was requested and Amwell Valley Fire Company established a landing zone in a nearby field, the post said.

The patient was then flown to Capital Health Regional Medical Center – Helene Fuld in Trenton, authorities said.

The New Jersey State Police also assisted at the scene.
