1 injured after car hits utility pole, overturns in Hunterdon County

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – One person was injured after the driver of a car reportedly hit a utility pole and overturned Wednesday morning in Hunterdon County, according to a post on the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad Facebook’s page.

The crash happened at 8:36 a.m. on Voorhees Corner Road near Reading Road in Raritan Township, the department said.

Upon arrival, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle had self-extricated themselves from the vehicle, authorities said.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Hunterdon Medical Center, authorities said.

The crash was investigated by the Raritan Township Police Department.
