1 injured after crash involving tractor-trailer, Jeep on I-78 in Hunterdon County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A person was injured after a crash between a tractor-trailer and a Jeep in Hunterdon County Sunday night, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 10:03 p.m. on Interstate 78 eastbound at milepost 18.2 in Clinton Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Jeep and tractor-trailer were traveling westbound when the Jeep struck the rear of the tractor-trailer, Lebron said.

Minor injuries were reported and one passenger was transported to an area hospital, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
