RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – One person was injured after a two-vehicle crash in a ShopRite parking lot in Hunterdon County Saturday afternoon, according to a post on the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad Facebook’s page.
On September 25, at 12:11 p.m., the Rescue Squad, Raritan Township Fire Company and the Hunterdon Medical Center’s MICU EMS-1 responded to the ShopRite parking lot, located at at 272 Route 202-31, in Raritan Township for a motor vehicle crash. The crash was reported as serious, with one occupant unconscious and entrapped in an overturned vehicle, authorities said.
Once on scene, first responders found a two-vehicle crash with a Jeep Gladiator overturned on its side onto a parking lot island. The driver and only occupant was extricated quickly through the removable roof, authorities said.
The driver was then transported to Hunterdon Medical Center. There were no other injuries, authorities said.
Crews then winched the Jeep back onto it’s tires to prevent any fluid spills. Both vehicles were secured and the scene was turned over the Raritan Township PD for their investigation, authorities said.
