1 injured in crash involving tractor-trailer on I-80 in Warren County, state police say

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – One person was injured after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 80 Tuesday morning in Warren County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Trooper Troy McNair.

The crash happened at around 7:58 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound at milepost 22.4 in Allamuchy Township, McNair said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Chevy SUV, a Freightliner tractor-trailer, and a Subaru passenger vehicle were traveling westbound on Interstate 80 when the driver of the Chevy lost directional control and collided with the rear of the Freightliner, McNair said.

Due to the crash, the tank carrying diesel fuel disengaged and collided with the Subaru, McNair said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, McNair said.

The accident remains under investigation and no additional was information available.
