KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced that the left lane on I-80 eastbound will be closed beginning Monday, Sept. 16 for priority bridge repairs to the overpass carrying Route 94 over I-80 in Knowlton Township.

Beginning at 9:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, NJDOT’s contractor, IEW Construction Group Inc., is scheduled to close the left lane of I-80 eastbound to install temporary supports and make repairs to the bridge.

Coming from Pennsylvania, I-80 is two lanes in the eastbound direction until just past the railroad overpass before the rest area. The left lane will be closed where the highway normally expands to three lanes with two lanes being maintained until just past the Route 94 Bridge over I-80.

The closure will be in place through the fall.

Variable message signs and lane closure signs will be utilized throughout the project limits to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the bridge replacement project.
