1 seriously injured, 1 in custody after shooting at Hunterdon County truck stop

UPDATE: Man charged with murder in Hunterdon County truck stop shooting

UNION TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The New Jersey State Police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a man Saturday afternoon.

On Jan. 23, at 12:37 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a shooting at the Pilot Travel Center in Union Township, state police said.

One man is currently in custody, and the victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, state police said.

Detectives are not seeking any additional suspects, state police said.

“This incident remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available at this time,” state police said.
