
1 wanted, 1 arrested after Morris County drug investigation
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – One person was arrested and another remains after a Morris County drug investigation, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.
Following a two-month investigation, on October 11, members of both Task Forces, the Dover Police Department, the Roxbury Police Department, the Wharton Police Department, and the Morristown Police Department participated in an operation targeted at the drug distribution of drugs by Maurice Nobles, 35, of Wharton Borough and Tyson McCoy, 41, of Dover, Carroll said.
Nobles was arrested and charged on October 11 with second-degree conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, first-degree possession with Intent to distribute cocaine, six counts of second-degree possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, six counts of second-degree distribution of cocaine, six counts of third-degree possession of cocaine, and fourth-degree possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia.
McCoy has been charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled dangerous substances, first-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, four counts of second-degree possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, four counts of second-degree distribution of cocaine, five counts of third-degree possession of cocaine, and fourth-degree possession with the intent to distribute drug paraphernalia
McCoy remains wanted on the outstanding arrest warrant.
During this investigation, over 250 grams of cocaine were seized, along with drug packaging paraphernalia, currency, and multiple cellphones, Carroll said.
This investigation was conducted by members of the Morris County Narcotics Task Force, supervised by Detective Sergeant James Bruno, and the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force, supervised by Detective Sergeant Jason Garrigan.
