2 arrested, 309 bricks of heroin seized following motorist assist on I-80 in Warren County

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Two New York men were arrested and 309 bricks of heroin were seized following a motorist assist on Interstate 80 in Allamuchy Township on Sunday, authorities said.

New Jersey State Police initiated a motorist assist along Interstate 80 and an investigation revealed that the vehicle had a fraudulent New Jersey temporary license plate, authorities said.

A further investigation and a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 309 bricks of heroin, authorities said.

According to New Jersey State Police Office of Drug Monitoring & Analysis, a brick of heroin has an estimated street value of up to $250. This seizure has a total approximate street value of $75,500.

Natanael Rodriguez Veras of the Bronx was charged with first-degree possession with the intent to distribute controlled dangerous substance, third-degree Possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and fourth-degree obstruction administration of law. He was then lodged in the Warren County Correctional Center pending a detention motion, authorities said.

Ramirez Reyes of the Bronx was charged with first-degree possession with the Intent to distribute controlled dangerous substance, third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and third-degree exhibiting a false government document.
