2 arrested following traffic stop in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Two Essex County residents were arrested following a traffic stop Tuesday in Denville Township.

On Feb. 21, an officer stopped a vehicle on Route 10 East for an expired registration, police said.

While the officer was speaking to the driver, who was identified as Karee Cunningham, 42, of East Orange, it was determined that he had an active $1,000 criminal warrant out of East orange, police said.

The passenger in the vehicle, who was identified as Aquil Brown, 35, of East Orange, was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, police said.

Cunningham was issues a summons for having an expired registration and was then turned over to the East Orange Police Department.

Brown was issued a summons for possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and released pending a court appearance.
