2 charged with harassing woman online in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Two Hackettstown women have been charged after they allegedly harassed a woman online.

On Oct. 5 at around 10:58 a.m., an officer received a complaint from the victim who was being harassed on Hackettstonwnlife.com, an online community forum, and on her personal blogsite, police said.

Through a police investigation it was determined that Debra Mutz, 58, of allegedly posted on the victim’s blogsite, accusing the victim of lying about the costs of dealing with the victim’s deceased husband’s cancer and accusing the victim of lying about her children’s after school activities.

The investigation also revealed that Jessica Fox, 38, allegedly posted multiple comments on Hackettstownlife.com and on the victim’s blogsite. She allegedly posted on Hackettstownlife.com accusing the victim of scamming people out of money by using a fundraiser for her deceased husband, accusing the victim of mistreating her children and accusing the victim of cheating.

Mutz and Fox were each charged on Nov. 11 with harassment and released pending a court appearance.
