2 face drug charges after traffic stop in Byram Township

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Two Sussex County women face drug charges after a traffic stop in Byram Township.

On April 5, an officer observed a vehicle without a front bumper, signal lights, and a license plate traveling on Route 206, police said.

A motor vehicle stop was initiated, and while police were speaking to the driver, Hailey B. Yuelling of Lafayette and the passenger, Dina Dileo of Newton, the officer observed and seized what the officer believed to be a controlled dangerous substance on the passenger seat of the vehicle, police said.

Dileo was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant and was subsequently lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility. Yuelling was issued a summons for an unclear license plate and released, police said.

Later, K-9 Zara from the Morris County Sheriff’s Office sniffed the vehicle and indicated that controlled dangerous substances may be present in the vehicle, police said.

A later search of the vehicle produced drug paraphernalia. A field test of the controlled dangerous substance found on the passenger seat of the vehicle indicated the presence of amphetamines/methamphetamine, police said.

Yuelling and Dileo were later charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both have pending court appearances.
