2 injured, 1 flown after single-vehicle crash on I-80 in Allamuchy Twp

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Two people were injured following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Allamuchy Township Sunday morning, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Alejandro Goez.

The single-vehicle crash was reported at 5:38 a.m. on Interstate 80 west bound at mile marker 19.4, Goez said.

The BMW went off the road into the median and struck a tree.

The driver, a 26-year-old man from East Stroudsburg, Pa, was trapped inside his vehicle. Fire crews got the driver out within 20 minutes of arrival and was then flown to Morristown Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The passenger, a 25-year-old man from Stroudsburg, Pa, sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Morristown Medical Center.

The accident remains under investigation, Goez said.
