2 injured after fiery crash involving tractor-trailer on I-80 in Warren County

BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Two people were injured after a fiery crash involving a tractor-trailer on interstate 80 Wednesday morning in Warren County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at 9:38 a.m. on Interstate 80 eastbound at milepost 9 in Blairstown Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Land Rover SUV and Freightliner tractor-trailer were traveling eastbound when the Land Rover lost directional control striking the Freightliner, running off the road right into the woods and catching on fire, Lebron said.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries, Lebron said.

The accident remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
