2 injured including 1 flown after serious crash on Route 202 in Hunterdon County

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Two people were injured, including one person who was flown to the hospital after a serious crash in Hunterdon County Sunday evening, according to a post on the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad’s Facebook page.

The crash happened at around 6:03 p.m. at the intersection of Route 202 and Summer Road in Readington Township, authorities said.

Once emergency crews were scene, personnel found a two-vehicle crash with one occupant trapped. The trapped individual was quickly extricated, authorities said.

The person was then transported to a nearby landing zone at the Summer Road Park and flown to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital trauma center in New Brunswick, the post said.

A second person was transported by ambulance to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and a third person refused medical treatment at the scene, the post said.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Readington Township Police Department.
