2 people arrested in months long Roxbury Twp. drug investigation

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A 3-month narcotic investigation has led to the arrest of two Morris County residents on several drug charges, police said.

The investigation involved the distribution of LSD, DMT ( Dimethyltryptamine), Ketamine, MDA (Methylenedioxyamphetamine), and Marijuana, police said.

The following individuals were arrested:

Thomas Romero, 24, of Budd Lake was charged with first-degree possession of LSD more than 100 mg with intent to distribute, first-degree distribution of LSD more than 100 mg, second-degree conspiracy to distribute of CDS, second-degree possession of LSD less than 100 mg with Intent to distribute, second-degree distribution of LSD less than 100 mg, and two counts of third-degree possession of LSD.

Alec Sampson, 22, of Parsippany was charged with first-degree possession of LSD more than 100 mg with intent to distribute, first-degree distribution of LSD more than 100 mg, second-degree conspiracy to distribute of CDS more than 100 mg, third-degree possession of LSD, third-degree possession of DMT, third-degree possession of Ketamine, third-degree possession of MDA, third-degree possession of Ecstasy, third-degree possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, third-degree possession of more than 5 grams of hashish, specifically THC cartridges, third-degree possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to distribute or manufacture CDS, third-degree possession of DMT with the intent to distribute, third-degree possession of Ketamine with the intent to distribute, third-degree possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms with the intent to distribute, third-degree possession of MDA with the intent to distribute, third-degree possession of Ecstasy with the intent to distribute, third-degree possession of marijuana hashish, specifically THC cartridges, with the intent to distribute same in a quantity of five grams or more but less than one pound, and third-degree money laundering.

As a result of the investigation, approximately $7,000 was seized, police said.

Both were lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending court appearances.

The investigation was conducted by the Roxbury Township Police Department in conjunction with Mount Olive Police Department and assistance from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
