2 people injured in 2-vehicle crash on I-80 in Morris County

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Interstate 80 in Morris County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Charles Marchan said.

Based on a preliminary police investigation, a Kia, driven by Richard McGill, 74, of East Hanover, and a Toyota, driven by Michael Roberts, 27, of Ithaca, NY, were traveling west on Interstate 80 in the area of milepost 28.4, Marchan said.

The Kia impacted the left guardrail and then impacted the Toyota which overturned, Marchan said.

McGill suffered serious injuries and Roberts suffered minor injuries, Marchan said.

The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.
