
2 Warren County business owners charged for violating governor’s executive mask order
WASHINGTON, NJ (Warren County) – The owner of two businesses in Warren County have been charged for allegedly violating Governor Phil Murphy’s mask order in New Jersey.
On April 17, at around 8:13 p.m., Washington Township Police responded to Desiderio’s Stone Tavern, located at 289 Route 31 south in Washington Township, at the request of the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office to investigate Covid-19 executive order compliance, police said.
Upon the officer’s arrival and subsequent investigation, the business owner, Stephen Desiderio, 51, of Branchburg, was issued a summons for a failure to comply with the Governors’ executive mask order. He was released pending a mandatory court appearance.
Also on April 17, at around 8:15 p.m., Washington Township Police responded to Philburt’s Pub, located at 101 West Washington Avenue in Washington Borough, at the request of the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office to investigate Covid-19 executive order compliance, police said.
Upon the officer’s arrival and subsequent investigation, the business owner, Philip Blanche, 65, of Washington, was issued a summons for a failure to comply with the Governors’ executive mask order. He was released pending a mandatory court appearance, police said.
