The Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame was established in 1997 to recognize senior citizens in the Northwest New Jersey region who have made a significant impact on the lives of others in the community. The Senior Hall of Fame honorees are recognized during a celebration luncheon and ceremony in May, during Older Americans Month. This year’s luncheon will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown.
The Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame has inducted 235 members since its inception. This roster includes individuals from Warren County and adjacent parts of Hunterdon, Morris and Sussex counties. The Hall of Fame is a program that has previously been conducted annually by the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center, and in 2022 will be managed by The House of the Good Shepherd, a Continuing Care Retirement Community. We believe that senior citizens are a vital group who contribute a great deal to their communities and society and deserve to be recognized.
Individuals who are 60 years of age or older as of January 1, 2022, are eligible to be nominated as members of the Senior Hall of Fame. Nominations are accepted each year starting in February and must be received by March 30th in order to be considered. A selection committee of current Senior Hall of Fame members along with representatives of The House of the Good Shepherd staff and Board of Trustees will review all nominations and decide the Senior Hall of Fame Class of 2022!

- How has nominee made an impact on individuals, communities or organizations in the greater Hackettstown area?
- Which community organizations or individuals have benefitted from this senior’s specific efforts?
