3 dead, Morris County man among 2 injured in Pennsylvania crash

PENN FOREST TOWNSHIP, PA (Carbon County) – A two-car crash Saturday night in Carbon County left three men dead and a Morris County man among two people injured, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The crash happened at 8:00 p.m. on Route 903 at the intersection with the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Penn Forest Township, state police said.

According to state police, a 2018 Toyota Camry, driven by Bryan Nissen, 30, of Morris Plains, NJ, was traveling north on Route 903, attempting to make a left onto I-476 north and a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Brett M. Knoll, 37, of Jim Thorpe, PA, was traveling south on Route 90 in the left lane. Nissen then reportedly pulled in front of Knoll.

Nissen and Knoll were both transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital, state police said.

A 25-year-old South Amboy, NJ man and a 30-year-old Parlin, NJ man both passengers in Nissen’s vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene and a third passenger, a 31-year-old Bayonne, NJ man was airlifted to Geisinger Hospital and died at the Hospital. Their names were not released.
