3 injured, including 1 seriously, following head-on crash in Sussex County, state police say

WANTAGE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Three people were injured, including one seriously, following a head-on crash in Sussex County Saturday morning, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Charles Marchan.

The crash happened at around at 12:43 a.m. on Route 284 northbound at milepost 1.6 in Wantage Township, Marchan said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Honda minivan, driven by Mark Campbell, 47, of Orange, was traveling south in the northbound lane of Route 284 when the Honda impacted a Toyota passenger car, driven by Alex Solorzano, 49, of Westtown, NY, head-on, Marchan said.

As a result of the crash, Campbell suffered moderate injuries and his passenger, Keneisha Baker, 40, of Newburg, NY suffered serious injuries. Solorzano suffered moderate injuries, Marchan said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Marchan said.
