3 juveniles charged in Sussex County

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Three juveniles were charged following an incident earlier this month in Byram Township, according to police.

On July 8, police received a call about three suspicious males walking on Route 206. Once the officer arrived at the scene, the three male juveniles began to run away from the officer, police said.

One juvenile stopped when told to do so while the others continued to flee into a wooded area, police said.

The other two males were found in the woods by patrols and all three were transported to the police station, police said.

The three juveniles were each charged with obstructing the administration of law and two of them face an additional charge of fourth-degree eluding, police said.

The three juveniles were released to their parents pending a court appearance.
