3 winners split $1,028,871 Jersey Cash 5 lottery prize

Three lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $1,028,871 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Thursday, June 20 drawing. Each ticket is worth $342,957. 

 Those tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • 19 Express, located at 1949 Route 35, in South Amboy.
  • Quick Chek #162, located at 1435 Route 23 S., in Butler.
  • C-Town Supermarket, located at 444 20th Ave.

The winning numbers were: 09, 12, 16, 32 and 42 and the XTRA number was: 03.

Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at 19 Express, Quick Chek #162 and C-Town Supermarket. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. Overnight, they have become three more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”

Carey announced that there were 956,341 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 147 ticketholders won $589 each and 13 others won $1,767 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 5,687 ticketholders won $15 each and 874 others won $45 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 10,904 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
