300-plus acre K9 and tactical training academy coming soon to Hunterdon County

One-stop destination for the K9 needs of private security forces, civilians, law enforcement, and public safety agencies

Due to growing demand, K Street Group’s K9 Unit is at seven dogs and counting. K Street Group K9 Unit Teams are deployed in a precautionary manner out of an abundance of caution. They are also employed in emergency response situations. Coming June 1, 2021 is the future home of The K Street Group K9 and Tactical Training Academy. This 300-plus acre flagship training center, located in Hunterdon County, will become one of the largest privately-owned, multi-use training facilities situated on the East Coast.

The state-of-the-art facility will encompass unique training options, including a tactical range and driving track, simunition house, scenario rooms, and K9 scent training center, as well as multiple classrooms, onsite accommodations, and various additional training support activity centers. An extensive amalgamation of training modules offered by a faculty of highly distinguished instructors will provide the necessary tools for creating and maintaining safe environments, while simultaneously increasing skill sets.

K Street Group’s soon-to-be operating academy is designed to serve the needs of assorted groups. Private security forces, civilians, law enforcement, and public safety agencies around the globe are encouraged to assess areas of weaknesses and consider the catalog of services the new training center will offer.

Law enforcement and public safety agencies can receive K9 training and certification, meet firearm qualification and proficiency standards, acquire tactical and practical training, and perform mock search and rescue trials.

Private security forces and risk mitigation focused groups can now successfully satisfy the unfulfilled needs of corporate America, mass gathering event organizers, and others by offering services, such as executive protection. In addition, close quarter survival skills will be heavily emphasized.

With a sense of smell 300,000-500,000 times stronger than the human nose, K9s possess the ability to follow a scent trail undetectable to humans. For this reason, K9s are beneficial to the protection of soft targets, enhancing overall security by acting as a deterrent effect to attackers. In light of an escalation of hate crimes, acts of violence are the new norm. Prevention of such nefarious transgressions are possible with the assistance of a K9 Unit, as the dogs not only ward off possible perpetrators, but identify threats, for example, bomb threats, before detonation and destruction.

“Rest assured that working in the private or public sector of security or law enforcement is not a necessary stipulation for taking advantage of the endless resources and services K Street’s academy will have readily available. Pet owners have numerous options within reach, including boarding and daycare, obedience training, handler training, and knowledge of home protection. Proudly serving the community, its residents, law enforcement, public safety and first responder heroes, K Street Group’s K9 and Tactical Training Academy is eagerly awaiting lifelong partnerships from new furry friends,” the company said.
