4 children, 1 adult injured after SUV hits tree off I-80 in Warren County, state police say

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Five people, including four children, were taken to a hospital following a Wednesday morning crash on I-80 in Warren County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Trooper Charles Marchan.

The crash happened at around 10:38 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound at milepost 19.2 in Allamuchy Township, Marchan said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Kia SUV being operated by Adriana Padilla-Caban, 23, of Scranton, PA was traveling west on I-80 when the vehicle ran off the roadway to the left and struck a tree, Marchan said.

As a result of the crash, Padilla-Caban, a 4-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 1-year-old suffered moderate injuries and a 3-month-old suffered serious injuries, Marchan said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available.
