48 cars burglarized, 1 stolen in one night in Hunterdon County
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Police in Raritan Township are searching for suspects after one car was stolen and a number of others were burglarized early Tuesday, according to police.
On October 5, police documented 48 separate vehicle burglaries and one stolen car. The incidents occurred between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5, police said.
All but one of the vehicles had been left unlocked, police said.
“Over the last month we have seen an increase in vehicle burglaries. We are reminding residents to remove key fobs from vehicles and lock your doors,” police said.
