6 injured after tractor-trailer flips onto vehicles on Route 22 in Warren County

POHATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Six people were injured after tractor-trailer overturned onto several vehicles on Route 22 in Pohatcong Township Monday afternoon, according to police.

The crash happened at around 12:48 p.m. near the intersection of Route 22 and St. James Avenue. The crash involved a tractor-trailer flipping over and landing on several vehicles, police said.

The investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer was traveling Route 22 westbound heading to its final destination of Allentown, PA when another vehicle cut in front of the truck. The vehicle then collided with the truck causing the truck to swerve off the road, police said.

The truck then went off Route 22 and onto St. James Avenue where it crashed into three other cars and rolled over onto its side, police said.

Six people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital, police said.

St. James Avenue and all lanes of Route 22 have been reopened.
