67-year-old man found unresponsive in Morris County lake

LINCOLN PARK BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – A 67-year-old man was transported to an area hospital after being found unresponsive in a lake in Lincoln Park Borough Thursday afternoon, according to Lincoln Park Borough Police Captain John Clements.

Lincoln Park police, first aid and fire-rescue were dispatched at around 2:05 p.m. to the Lincoln Park Community Lake for a report of a possible drowning, Clements said.

Upon arrival, police determined that the man, whose identity was not released, had been swimming with a friend and then could not be located, Clements said.

A search of the area of the lake where the swimmer was last seen was conducted by lifeguards and the responding personnel, Clements said.

Rescuers eventually located the unresponsive man in the lake. He was then turned over to medics and transported to an area hospital, Clements said.

His current condition was not released.
