7 juveniles charged in attack of Phillipsburg resident

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – A Phillipsburg resident was attacked last month and seven juveniles have been charged in the assault, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s office.

On April 26, at around 3:45p.m., police responded to a report of an assault that had occurred at the intersection of Filmore Street and Hudson Street in Phillipsburg, authorities said.

This incident involved seven juveniles walking from school and subsequently attacking a resident, prosecutor’s office said.

As a result of the investigation, the juveniles were each charged with third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, and third-degree criminal restraint with the risk of serious bodily injury.

“The Phillipsburg Police Department and Phillipsburg School District will not tolerate any violence against our citizens. All crimes will be investigated thoroughly and enforced to the fullest extent of the law,” prosecutor’s office said.

Assisting in the investigation was the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office and the Phillipsburg School District.
