9 juveniles charged after alleged assault in Phillipsburg

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – Nine have been charged in connection to an alleged assault in Phillipsburg earlier this month, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

On March 17, at around 3:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault that had occurred on Hudson Street, authorities said.

The incident involved juveniles walking from both the Phillipsburg Middle School and Phillipsburg High School, the prosecutor’s office said.

As a result of the investigation, nine juveniles were each charged with third-degree aggravated assault, and thirds-degree conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

“The Phillipsburg School District and Phillipsburg Police Department will not tolerate any violence against its citizens or pupils. All crimes will be investigated thoroughly and enforced to the fullest extent of the law,” authoritties said.

The Warren County Prosecutor’s Office and the Phillipsburg School District assisted in the investigation.
