Morris County man sentenced to probation for assault by auto

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Morris County man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to assault by auto, according to Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart.

Vincent Reinke, 25, of Randolph Township was sentenced before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, Taggart said.

Reinke was sentenced to two years probation. In addition to the standard conditions of probation, he must undergo a TASC evaluation, follow all recommendations, complete 150 hours of community service work and, pay fines and fees totaling $157.00, as well as pay $25.00 a month supervision fee, Taggart siad.

He was previously sentenced on a related DWI charge with a sentence of seven months loss of license following seven months interlock, 12 hours IDRC and minimum mandatory fines and fees, Taggart said.

Reinke pled guilty on Feb. 23 to fourth-degree assault by auto, Taggart said.

Reinke was represented by John Weichsel, Esq., and the State was represented by Special Deputy Attorney General and Acting Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
