After 9 years, local dessert shop closes in Warren County

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – After 9 years of sweet service, Dalcourt’s Desserts, located at 915 County Route 517 in Independence Township, has decided to close the gourmet dessert shop. The closure was announced on the shop’s Facebook page Sunday afternoon.

“Dalcourts Desserts is happy to announce that after 9 years (11-26-2015 to 01-08-2024) we will be closing our doors,” the post said.

“Due to my mom turning 65 this year and deciding to retire and I have decided to focus on a career change. We are so thankful and grateful to all the wonderful people we meet on this journey and thank you all for so very much!,” the post said.

Dalcourt’s Desserts was started by founder Justin Dalcourt and co-owned by his parents Diane Dalcourt and Jim Dalcourt. Justin started his business selling Pumpkin Pie Pudding as a college project at Centenary University his freshman year at the age of 19.
