Alleged panhandler charged again in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Police in Hackettstown have again charged a man accused of panhandling in Hackettstown.

On Saturday, March 18, at around 4:29 p.m., police responded to Lowe’s Home Improvement, 217 Mountain Ave, for a report of male knocking on car windows asking people for money and asking pedestrians for money, police said.

Upon arrival, the officer observed Frank Vizthum, 53, of Hackettstown knocking on a car window, police said.

Vizthum was charged with disorderly conduct and released pending a court appearance.

Vizthum was charged on Jan. 16 for allegedly walking in traffic and knocking on car windows and on Feb. 16 he was charged after allegedly panhandling outside the Lowe’s Home Improvement store.
