Alternating single-lane travel on Broad Street in Phillipsburg near Route 22 bridge viaduct on May 31

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – The section of Broad Street that crosses beneath the Route 22 Viaduct in Phillipsburg is scheduled to be reduced to alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The single-lane travel pattern is needed for the biennial process of inspecting the Commission’s eight toll bridges.

Backups and delays are possible. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and allow additional time to reach their destinations when the travel restriction is in effect, the commission said.

The travel restriction is subject to change due to weather and/or emergencies, the commission said.
