Atlantic Health System recognized for excellence in cardiology, orthopedics and neurology by WebMD

MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – Atlantic Health System, an integrated care delivery system in New Jersey committed to building healthier communities, today announced that WebMD, a national provider of health information, has recognized the system with their 2022 WebMD Patient Choice Awards in Cardiology, Orthopedics and Neurology for health systems in the New York Region.

“At Atlantic Health System high quality care and extraordinary patient experiences are part of the commitment our teams make to the communities we serve every day” said Douglas Arbittier, MD, MBA, Vice President, Service Lines, Atlantic Health System. “We are especially grateful for this recognition from WebMD because it is based upon survey results of those health care consumers we always keep at the center of our focus.”

WebMD Patient Choice Awards identify the best-in-class health systems from a consumer perspective across various specialties. The top 30% of patient preferences receive the WebMD Patient Choice Award. Patient opinions are measured using a market-by-market surveying process conducted through the WebMD owned and
operated digital properties. The surveys are run on an annual basis, and awards are announced as results are finalized in target markets.

“Now more than ever, WebMD is striving to improve the health and wellness of its 75 million monthly users,” says John Whyte, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, WebMD. “These awards empower and champion the voice of the patient, giving health systems a greater understanding of how their care is perceived.”

The WebMD Patient Choice Awards survey was conducted via a live poll intercept randomly targeted to relevant condition areas and audiences at WebMD.com, and geo-targeted and mapped to zip codes to gather market specific information.
