Authorities investigate serious crash in Hunterdon County

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Authorities say a driver was flown to a hospital after a serious crash in Hunterdon County Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at around 3:15 p.m. on State Highway 202 in Raritan Township.

According to Acting Prosecutor Michael Williams, the crash involved a Toyota SUV and a semi-tractor trailer truck that collided in the north-bound lanes.

The driver of the SUV was flown to a trauma center for serious injuries, Williams said.

The names of those involved in the crash were not released.

The highway was closed for approximately three and a half hours, Williams said.

The investigation is ongoing and being investigated by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Fatal Analysis Collision Team and the Raritan Township Police Department. Assisting at the scene were Flemington/Raritan Heavy Rescue, Raritan Fire and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center.
