
Authorities investigate ‘suspected homicide’ in Morris County
UPDATE: 19-year-old charged in connection with Parsippany-Troy Hills homicide
PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – Authorities are investigating a “suspected homicide” in Parsippany-Troy Hills, according to Morris County Acting Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.
On Sunday, Nov. 22, at around 9:00 a.m., police received a 9-1-1 call regarding an injured male outside a home on Troy Road. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located the injured male, and also located a deceased male inside the residence, Carroll said.
“The cause and manner of death are pending and the investigation remains open and ongoing. The identities of the individuals will not be released at this time,” Carroll said.
“This appears to be an isolated incident and there does not appear to be any ongoing risk to the public,” Carroll said.
The investigation is being conducted by the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office – Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
