Belvidere School District reports one positive COVID-19 case

BELVIDERE, NJ (Warren County) – Just over one week into the new school year, the Belvidere school district reported Thursday one positive case of COVID-19, according to a post on the district’s Facebook page.

Officials didn’t specify whether the person who tested positive is a student, faculty member, or other district employee. They also didn’t say which district building that person attended.

Out of abundance of caution, the Belvidere School District will have a district wide virtual instruction day today, Sept. 18 and all students school log in during their synchronous instructional time, officials said.

All district buildings will be closed for a thorough cleaning in anticipation of reopening on Monday, Sept. 21, officials said.

All that are affected will be contacted by the Warren County Health Department by the end of today, officials said.
