BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Blairstown police have announced new speed limits for several roads and a new 3-way stop intersection.
Police say the speed limits on Main Street, High Street, Bridge Street, and East Ave have been reduced to 15 miles per hour.
The Cross Street and High Street intersection is now a 3-way stop, stopping traffic in all directions, police said.
“The recent changes in the Blairstown village area to vehicles and traffic as the town makes improvements to make our streets and roads safer,” police said.
Alternate side parking, following the posted signs, is now in effect after the declaration of a snow emergency on Main Street, High Street and East Avenue. The alternate side parking when road is snow covered still remains in effect on Main Street, however, the declaration of a snow emergency extends the alternate side parking for a period of 72 hours, police said.
Residents, business owners, and patrons are urged to pay close attention to the current day of the week to avoid a infraction, police said.
