Blairstown Police looking for suspicious person

BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The Blairstown Township Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspicious person.

On the evening of Feb. 14, police were notified of a suspicious person on Gaisler Road. Officers arrived on scene and conducted a search of the immediate area with negative results. Although the man did not approach a resident, there were no reports of aggressive or threatening behavior, police said.

Then on the evening of Feb.15, police received another call regarding possibly the same man seen in the area, however, this call was made to the police approximately 90 minutes after seeing him. Officers responded to the area and conducted a search with negative results, police said.

“There has also been a post on Facebook stating that the male subject was in possession of a knife. This has NOT been reported to the police nor has the person who had witnessed the knife stated as such to the police,” police said.

“Blairstown Officers will conduct additional patrols of the area and respond swiftly upon sightings of the male subject. The safety of our residents is and always will be our main priority. We strongly encourage residents to promptly call the police when suspicious activities occur,” police said.
