Broadband access study underway in Warren County
WARREN COUNTY, NJ – The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), together with the New Jersey Broadband Access Study Commission, is collecting data about internet connectivity in Warren County.
The Federal Government is making funding available to enhance networks, and a consultant to the BPU is surveying residents and businesses about their connections.
The link to the assessment site is www.broadband-nj.com.
Once you are on the site, you will find more information about this project, the benefits to you and where you live and work, and the team supporting the project.
The site also contains a speed test that measures how fast your internet connection is from your home or business. This test takes about a minute or so to complete.
There also is a survey, a series of questions for either home or business, which asks about whether a respondent has internet access, and how they use it (or would use it).
This survey data will be used alongside the technical data the consultants will collect directly from the internet providers, as well as their own data from testing the existing infrastructure.
Anyone with questions about the project, contact Warren County Commissioner Lori Ciesla at 908-475-6517.
